Video: Julian Edelman Says He Secretly Lived In Tom Brady’s House Without His Knowledge

When New England Patriots legend Julian Edelman was just starting out with the Pats he would do whatever it took to practice with Tom Brady in the offseason. He went as far as to go live near Tom Brady, so close in fact that Tom Brady was unaware he was living under his roof.

Edelman says that, when he first reached the NFL, there was a time when he was secretly living in one of Brady’s houses and Tom Brady was not even aware of it. Edelman spilled the beans in his podcast, “Games With Names.”

Edelman said he was couch-surfing in Los Angeles early in his career when he got a call from Ben Rawitz, Brady’s manager. Rawitz was living at Brady’s newly completed mansion in Brentwood while the quarterback and then-wife Gisele Bundchen finished out the lease on another home they were renting nearby during construction.

With 22,000 square feet of space and eight bedrooms, there was plenty of space at Brady’s newly finished “$20 million dream home,” which Edelman described as “insane.”

“Rawitz, we were friends. He goes ‘Yo, come live in Brady’s other house with me. Just don’t tell him you’re here.’ That house was on the way to the other house. So like he would come in and I’d have to hide and I just had a lot of great memories.”

Edelman says that, at the time, he’d been spending time in L.A. to try and throw with Brady. But Edelman was an unknown so Tom Brady had more important things to attend to.

“At that time, he really wasn’t calling me,” Edelman said.
