Patriots Teammates Are Saying Mac Jones Is On Another Level

The expectations for Mac Jones heading into the 2022 season are high, and his New England Patriots teammates have taken notice of his emergence as a leader.

“It’s just at another level now,” wide receiver Kendrick Bourne said, “He’s more comfortable, more confident. He knows what’s going on, and the muscle memory is there (from having gone through it) – OTAs, then camp, and the season.

“Going into his second year after having a year like that, it’s going to be a challenge, but he’s a guy that likes challenges, like all of us in that Patriot building.”

Jones led the Patriots to a 10-7 record last season. He threw for 3,801 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions and a 67.6% completion percentage.

Mac has slimmed down in the offseason, and appears to be in great shape heading into his 2nd season.

“He’s a young guy but he’s developed as a leader. That’s what this team needs,” said wideout DeVante Parker.
