Former Patriots Defensive Coordinator Romeo Crennel Announced His Retirement After 39 Seasons
Romeo Crennel, who was the defensive coordinator for the Patriots first 3 Super Bowl titles, has announced his retirement after 39 years in the NFL. Crennel spent the last eight years with the Houston Texans.
Crennel, a longtime defensive coordinator in the NFL, made 17 playoff appearances with 13 division titles, six conference championships, and won 5 Super Bowls (New York Giants – XXI and XXV, New England Patriots – XXXVI, XXXVIII and XXXIX).
Crennel served as defensive coordinator with the New England Patriots, from 2001-2004.
