The legend continues. Now that David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez have retired, their sons are starting to make some noise locally as teammates.
D’Angelo Ortiz and Manny Ramirez Jr., the sons of Red Sox legends David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez, are teammates on the Brockton Rox of the Futures Collegiate League. During a game on Sunday, D’Angelo Ortiz knocked in a run that scored Ramirez Jr.
Ortiz last played in the Majors in 2016 and Manny in 2011. Their sons D’Angelo Ortiz and Manny Ramirez Jr. are 17 and 19 years old. Pedro Martinez, Gary Sheffield and Keith Foulke’s sons also played in that game for the Brockton Rox.
