Video: Cam Newton Got Into A Postgame Scuffle After A Miami Dolphins Player Ripped His Chain Off His Neck
Cam Newton had a memorable first game after leading the Patriots to a 21-11 win over Miami. Newton had 155 passing yards along with 75 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. Apparently that left a bad taste with the Dolphins after one of their players went after Cam’s neck chain and violently ripped it off Newton’s neck after the game, leading to words being exchanged
Newton wasn’t to thrilled about the interaction.
“They were reaching for my chain and it kind of did get under my skin,” Newton said.
Newton wasn’t looking to bring too much attention to it, as he pawned it off as competitive spirit.
“I don’t want to be selfish and dwell on that,” Newton said.
TV cameras showed Newton getting upset as he left the field.
