Undrafted Free Agent Rookie Kicker Quinn Nordin Is Expected To Win The Job Over Nick Folk
In another surprising move, undrafted rookie free agent Quinn Nordin appears to have won the kicking job over Nick Folk. Nordin has an extremely strong leg, but accuracy has been a question.
Nordin was just a 72.4 percent field goal kicker at the University of Michigan. He was 6-for-8 on field goals and 4-for-7 on extra points. The Patriots must really believe he will be able to turn it around, but he will be on a very short leash.
In 16 games last year, Folk was very solid going 26-of-28 on field goals. He was also 30-or-33 on extra points.
Folk has been kicking since 2007 and has a career 81.4 field goal percentage.
The Patriots are expected to stick with rookie K Quinn Nordin as their starter, taking over the job from veteran Nick Folk, per source.
Nordin was looking for jobs on LinkedIn after this past NFL Draft and is now in line to handle kicking duties in New England.
