The Patriots Are Reportedly Thinking About Bringing Antonio Brown Back
According to Christian Fauria, the Patriots have had internal discussions about bringing Antonio Brown back. Of course there would be a few hurdles to go through first with the league office, but the fact that they are even entertaining this may mean they know he will be cleared to play. Brown had an interview with the NFL last Thursday in South Florida and there is optimism in Brown’s camp that the league will clear him to return before the end of the season.
Brown took to social media today to announce he is staying in game shape.
“Staying ready, excited to get back to the field and inspire others!”
If Brown comes off the Commissioner’s Exempt list, it would only take Robert Kraft to forgive him and offer Brown a second chance to bring him back.
The Patriots could use Brown’s services with Phillip Dorsett in concussion protocol and Mohamed Sanu in question for the next few weeks. Of course they would have to set some rules ahead of any possible reunion which would likely include Brown staying off social media.
Per @WEEI @christianfauria, the #Patriots have "kicked the tires" on Antonio Brown. Says there have been discussions about the player.
