Patriots Were Screwed Over By Numerous Bad Calls Against Kansas City

The Patriots didn’t look like they showed up to play during the first half against Kansas City. All three phases of the game were clearly lacking. Yet, the Patriots seemed to have figured it out in the 2nd half although by the time they did, it was the referees and not the Chiefs that were preventing them from winning the game. The refs made some horrible calls down the stretch that likely took two touchdowns away from the Pats during the same drive.

During the third quarter, referees blew an early whistle after Chiefs tight end fumbled a ball that could have easily been ran in for a touchdown. Later on the same drive, Patriots WR N’Keary Harry caught a pass along the right sideline and stretching for a clear touchdown. The Patriots were out of challenges so they were forced into kicking a field goal which really bit them in the ass. They would have been able to tie the game at the end of the 4th quarter with a field goal had they scored a touchdown on that drive.

The referees are human, and sometimes bad calls will happen, but they missed more than their fair share of calls today, including an obvious missed pass interference call after Philip Dorsett was mangled on a key play. It really sucks to see the refs control the outcome of the game. The Patriots likely were not going to get the #1 seed in the AFC anyway but that will probably seal the deal.
