Patriots Traded For Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker
The New England Patriots have traded a 3rd round pick in 2023 to the Miami Dolphins for wide receiver DeVante Parker and a 5th round pick this year. Parker was the 14th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. His career has been derailed by numerous injuries, but if he can stay healthy he can be a good outside threat for Mac Jones to utilize. Parker has two years and $17 million remaining on his contract. If he doesn’t pan out the Patriots could cut him loose at the end of the season with only $2.7 million of his 2023 salary guaranteed. This is a solid gamble by Belichick.
Trade terms, per source:
Patriots get WR DeVante Parker and a 2022 5th-round pick.
Dolphins get a 2023 third-round pick.
