Patriots Acquire WR Isaiah Ford At The Trade Deadline From Miami
In a rare trade between division rivals, the Patriots acquired WR Isaiah Ford from the Dolphins in exchange for a 2022 seventh-round pick.
Ford at 6-foot-2 should offer Cam Newton some size in the pass game. Ford has played 225 snaps this season as a slot receiver. With Julian Edelman out Ford should see action out of the gate. The Patriots unsurprisingly did not make any big moves to bring in talent, but they have not thrown in the towel either. They had an opportunity to move some players at the deadline but decided to go with what they have.
A rare intra-division trade: Dolphins are trading WR Isaiah Ford to the New England Patriots, per source.
