NFL Teams Want Tom Brady Penalized For Violating Social Distance Restrictions

NFL teams, fans and media are out to get Tom Brady again after recent missteps he made since signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This time NFL teams want Tom Brady and the Buccaneers to be penalized for breaking social media restrictions. The only difference is this time, he won’t have an army of supporters to defend him.

Brady made headlines when he was caught in a local park earlier this week that was closed due to the pandemic, but the story about him entering the wrong house on the way to visit his new offensive coordinator can get him in real trouble with the league office.

ESPN.com confirmed the incident, and reports that “Brady and Leftwich were trying to follow social distancing guidelines, having Brady come to pick up materials from his new coach rather than meeting with him.”

Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio wrote about Brady’s incident. Florio said that NFL rules during this time of social distancing say that “players cannot meet with coaches at any time prior to the start of the offseason program. Meetings outside the building are even more problematic, because in many cases those meetings can happen without detection.”

A source told Florio: “Totally illegal. They should be fined. Plus, I bet those duffel bags [Brady carried] had footballs in them.”

Florio added that “rumors and speculation in league circles” have indicated that the Buccaneers took a “No fucks Given” attitude when it came to tampering with Brady and complying with league rules during this social distancing era.

In other words, the source suspects that Brady fully intended not only to meet with Leftwich but also to participate in some sort of workout in which Leftwich would have been directly involved.

Brady did not help his cause with his latest brag on social media. If the NFL decides to come at Brady hard this time, he will find himself alone in this fight.
