Bad Karma Strikes Indianapolis Colts As Andrew Luck Announces His Retirement

Perhaps Andrew Luck’s career was cursed from the beginning. With a last name like Luck who was one of the most hyped quarterbacks of his generation coming out of college, big things were expected of him. Unfortunately as fate would have it, the Indianapolis Colts ended up drafting him after they literally threw multiple games the season before after Peyton Manning got injured. This was known as the “Suck for Luck” season.

To make matters worse the entire Colts organization brought bad karma upon itself when they brought upon the ill fated Deflategate bullshit. Their effort to railroad Tom Brady in an effort to get back to the Super Bowl has been nothing but a curse to the organization. Unfortunately for Andrew his luck ran out as he has announced his retirement.

Adam Schefter reports that Andrew Luck has informed the Colts he is retiring from the NFL.
Per Schefter, Luck is “mentally worn down” and has already informed owner Jim Irsay of his intentions. It’s the most stunning NFL news of the decade. Two years removed from a lost season to a shoulder injury, Luck had not practiced all summer as he dealt with a mysterious calf/ankle issue.
