Video: Mookie Betts Got A Rousing Standing Ovation In His Return To Fenway Park
Mookie Betts is back at Fenway tonight for the first time since he was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Fenway faithful did not forget everything Mookie did for the Sox while he was here and gave him the welcome he truly deserved. It was the first time Mookie has played at Fenway since September 30, 2019. Many Sox fans came prepared wearing Red Sox jerseys with Betts’ #50. The Red Sox also played a tribute video which can also be seen below before the start of the second inning.
The 2018 American League MVP has been on a tear lately hitting .619 with 3 home runs and 8 RBI over the past week prior to tonight’s game.
