Video: Julian Edelman leaves game with chest injury, questionable to return
New England Patriots star wide receiver Julian Edelman left the team’s Week 3 game against the New York Jets at Gillette Stadium today with an apparent injury. The Patriots ruled him questionable to return with a chest injury.
Edelman left for the locker room after making a 3-yard reception late in the second quarter. Two Jets defenders landed on him as he went to the ground, and he came up holding his ribs. He did not return to the sideline when the team took the field for the second half. When Edelman left the game, he was leading the team with seven receptions for 62 yards and a touchdown and helped the Pats to a 20-0 lead.
