Video: Bill Burr calls out “spoiled” Patriots fans for complaining about Bill Belichick
Massachusetts native Bill Burr appeared on the Rich Eisen Show a few weeks back and called the New England Patriots fan base spoiled brat fans, after rampant reports that head coach Bill Belichick would be fired at the end of the season.
While appearing on the Rich Eisen show, Burr talked about the struggles of the New England Patriots, and correctly labeled a large portion of the Patriots fan base as “spoiled brats”.
“They come from an age when you know, we were just going to go to the AFC championship game every other year,” Burr said. “We were going to go to nine Super Bowls, and win six.”
He continued with a profound analogy: “This is why marriages don’t work out. The second there’s like, rough water, people leave. Then what are you going to do? Do they stay single? They get married again.”
Burr suggested, the Boston media came up with a bullshit story out of thin air because, “The phone lines weren’t lit up.”
Burr also poked fun at reporters for saying “My sources tell me…” or “People close to the team are saying,” pointing out that Rich Eisen isn’t getting information from Robert Kraft. He’s not spilling behind-closed-doors secrets to somebody he knows has a radio show.
At the end of the season, who are the Patriots realistically going to replace Bill Belichick with that is going to put them in a better situation? They have tossed around names like Mike Vrabel, and Jerrod Mayo, but neither of them have done anything to prove that they will bring more upside than Bill Belichick. Ultimately the Patriots need an offensive mind to help Belichick with player personnel, but they are no going to get anyone to do a better job of bringing this team forward.
