The Patriots Were Awarded 4 Compensatory Picks In The 2020 NFL Draft
The New England Patriots will receive four extra picks in this years NFL draft to make up for key losses in free agency last season. The compensation picks are awarded to teams that lose better free agents than they acquired in the previous season. The Patriots lost a few key pieces of their Super Bowl team including left tackle Trent Brown, defensive end Trey Flowers, defensive tackle Malcom Brown and wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson.
These are the extra selections the Patriots will receive.
Round 3, Pick 34 (98 overall)
Round 3, Pick 36, (100 overall)
Round 6, Pick 33 (212 overall)
Round 6, Pick 213 (213 overall)
Solid picks, the Patriots selected defensive end Chase Winovich and running back Damien Harris in the 3rd round last season.
