The Patriots Newest Practice Squad QB Makes Cam Newton Look Small
The Patriots latest practice squad quarterback signing Jake Dolegala is a 6’7 monster that makes even Cam Newton look small. Earlier this week, the Patriots signed Dolegala, a giant out of Central Connecticut, to a contract and added him to the team’s practice squad.
Dolegala was a four-year starter for the Blue Devils, and is the all-time leader in passing yards (8,129) and touchdowns (48) at the university. Dolega has been described as an above average athlete for his size, Dolegala had 18 career rushing TDs. Dolega is obviously a long term project, but his size is intriguing along with his arm strength and mobility.
Dolegala would not be the tallest NFL quarterback in history. That honor belongs to baseball legend Mark McGwire’s brother Dan who stood at 6’8 and played for the Seattle Seahawks.
