The Patriots-Cowboys Game Was The Highest Rated Regular Season Game In Over Two Decades
The Patriots 13-9 win over the Dallas Cowboys was the most watched regular season game on any network since 1996. While many Patriots fans were braving the nasty weather last night at Gillette, millions were sitting in front of their TV’s at home. According to FOX Sports, the games 19.5 rating is the network’s highest rated regular season game in over two decades. It also tied for the highest regular season rating on any network since 2007.
In Boston, the game got a 42.6 rating.
There was a lot of talk about a potential upset in the media this week. Many fans around the country likely tuned in with the hopes of seeing the Cowboys win but the Patriots defense would have none of that.
