Rob Gronkowski Has Asked The Patriots To Trade Him To Tampa

Here we go again. Retired legendary Patriots tight end is now saying he wants the Patriots to trade him to Tampa. According to NFL insider, Ian Rapoport, Gronkowski has told the Patriots that he’s interested in playing football again, but he wants his rights to be traded to Tampa so he can play with Tom Brady. The Patriots are reportedly in talks with the Buccaneers to make something happen. Gronkowski has one year and $10 million left on his contract. But the two sides are, and have been talking, prior to Thursday’s draft.

This is not likely going to sit well with Patriots fans after Gronk teased them about a return all last season. Many fans are still angry about Brady leaving a few weeks ago. This will seem like Gronk is twisting the dagger in deeper if it happens. The Patriots would get some cap relief by moving Gronk’s rights so if this is going to go down, it should happen quickly.
