Red Sox Acquired SS Adalberto Mondesi From The Royals
According to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, the Red Sox are acquiring shortstop Adalberto Mondesi from the Kansas City Royals.
The Royals will be receiving lefty reliever Josh Taylor in the deal. Mondesi, who is coming off a torn ACL in his left knee, will likely take over as the Red Sox’ starting shortstop and is one of the fastest players in the game when healthy. The 27-year-old shortstop, who will become a free agent next offseason, has stolen 133 bases in 358 games over the last seven years. He’s been limited to just 50 games combined over the last two seasons due to injury. It is an amazing grab for the Sox, and a fresh start for Mondesi could payoff big time for both parties.
Adalberto Mondesi is being traded to the Red Sox, per source. The Royals will receive Josh Taylor in exchange, while Boston will also receive a player to be named later.

Adalberto Mondesi brings some serious health concerns, but taking a chance on him with Josh Taylor being the price makes sense.
Offers strong defense and speed, two things this team lost when Trevor Story went down.
