Patriots Signed Kicker Mike Nugent To Replace Stephen Gostkowski
NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reports the Patriots have signed K Mike Nugent.
Nugent will replace Stephen Gostkowski who is out for the season with a hip injury. Nugent hasn’t played this season, but went 6-for-6 on field goals and 4-for-5 on extra points with the Raiders in 2018. He should be a solid replacement but keep in mind prior to Gostkowski getting the yips he was one of the most accurate kickers in NFL history. Nugent does have a strong leg but the kicking game may not be quite what we have grown accustomed to over the past two decades with two of the greatest kickers in NFL history.

Mike Nugent good from 54. Probably would’ve been good from 64 pic.twitter.com/G64fhzzfWr
