Patriots Select Versatile Alabama Linebacker Anfernee Jennings

The Patriots selected Alabama DE Anfernee Jennings with the No. 87 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Jennings who is (6’2/256) started in 38 of his 54 career games with Alabama. Jennings recorded 20 pass breakups and double-digit tackles for loss in each of the last two seasons. Jennings has pure football intelligence and is strong in stuffing the run. He will likely have a rotational role in his rookie season. He should also be a part of the special teams blocking unit.
