Patriots Select Safety Kyle Dugger With Their First Pick In The Draft
The Patriots made the fans wait an extra 24 hours but their first selection of the 2020 NFL draft is finally in. With their first of 5 draft picks tonight the Patriots selected safety Kyle Dugger from a little known division II school named Lenoir Rhyne. Dugger was the Division 2 defensive player of the year, and he has received some comparisons to Patrick Chung, and should also produce in special teams.
The Patriots select safety Kyle Dugger, of Lenoir-Rhyne (Division II, located in Hickory, North Carolina).
Dugger is listed at 6-0, 217 pounds. Ran a 4.49 time in the 40. Projects as box safety/linebacker type, a la Patrick Chung.

"Is there anything more #Patriots than Belichick going to a small school and finding the D-II Defensive Player of the Year?"
Underdog Kyle Dugger, how do you NOT love this dude? The Pride of Lenoir-Rhyne. pic.twitter.com/GGJxVudRKu
