Patriots Placed A 2nd Round Tender On Restricted Free Agent JC Jackson
The New England Patriots are placing a second-round tender on restricted free agent JC Jackson. Jackson will make $3.384 million in 2021 if he signs the tender.
Jackson, who originally signed as a undrafted rookie has been a major part of the Patriots secondary since joining the team. In 45 games with the Patriots, he has 17 interceptions and 100 tackles. Jackson was second in the NFL with nine interceptions last season.
With the tender in place, the Patriots have the the right to match and retain Jackson’s services if they are willing to match any contract offered. If the Patriots chose not to match an offer, the team that gets Jackson must give a second-round pick to New England.
Jackson is expected to have plenty of interest from other teams.

#Patriots film: JC Jackson is balling. His 2nd INT starts at the line to force John Ross into the sideline. Gets his hands on him, limits the room Ross has to work with. Stays in the hip pocket and uses the safety rolling over the top as help, tracks the ball perfectly. pic.twitter.com/Dr8X1CA78Z
