Patriots Latest Pick LB Josh Uche Has Been Compared To Tedy Bruschi
The Patriots traded up with the Ravens to select Michigan OLB Josh Uche with the No. 60 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. The Patriots acquired picks No. 60 and No. 129 from Baltimore in exchange for picks No. 71 and No. 98. Uche who has unlimited energy has received some comparisons to Tedy Bruschi.
At 6-foot-1, 245 pounds, Uche is a versatile linebacker, he didn’t start a game for the Wolverines until his senior season, but that didn’t stop him from making his presence known. Uche had seven sacks as a junior. In his senior season, he was dominant and recorded 8.5 sacks and 35 tackles.
Uche has a nose for the ball like Bruschi but this kid has an absolutely explosive first step and will be a solid pass rusher. He will also be a solid addition in coverage on screen passes and make life tough on opposing tight ends.
Uche’s raw athletic ability is at the top of the charts. It is just a matter of him learning the role. He is a very versatile player that can play outside linebacker or defensive end.
The Patriots select LB Josh Uche (Michigan) in the second round (No. 60, via trade).
Uche is 6-foot-1, 245 pounds. Considered a versatile player, with pass-rush skills.
Has a bit of a Tedy Bruschi-type profile when Bruschi was coming out of Arizona.

That #Patriots Josh Uche selection in the second round…a few very respected evaluators said during the process that Uche was their pick to be the second-day star from this draft. Limited overall body of work but some stellar flashes were there – particularly in 2019.
