Patriots Kicker Nick Folk Will Miss Sunday’s Game Against Houston
The Patriots have not had much luck with kickers this season. Nick Folk is out for the Patriots Sunday night game following an appendectomy. According to NFL Networks Ian Rapoport, Folk isn’t expected to miss more than one game. The procedure was reportedly done laparoscopically, minimally invasive, which should mean a short recovery time.
Folk has done a solid job since taking over for Mike Nugent, barring a couple excusable missed attempts in last weeks game against Dallas with foul weather. The Patriots will need to find someone quick and could possibly turn to punter Jake Bailey since this is so late in the week.
#Patriots K Nick Folk recently had an appendectomy that will knock him out this week, but likely not more, source confirms (@Trags on it first). It was done laparoscopically, minimally invasive, which should mean a short recovery time. Still, NE needs a new kicker.
