Patriots Defensive Star Matthew Judon Admits He Once Thought The Patriots Were “Stuck up”
Matt Judon has been a great offseason addition to the Patriots at this point. Judon signed a 4-year $56 million dollar contract with the Patriots in the offseason, but the money alone wasn’t going to be enough. Bill Belichick had to sell him on the idea that his preconceived beliefs about the Patriots organization were far from reality.
Judon sat down with Kyle Van Noy for his “Elite Eatz” YouTube series.
“I didn’t know too many people on the team, honestly,” Judon said, “I thought everybody was, like, some stuck up… It was like the rich school that always won. Like, skip them dudes, man. Skip them dudes, for real.
“Little salt, little hate. But, coming in, then you see how these dudes work, how they prepare. And they take care of their bodies and they train. When I was in Maryland, it was, ‘Fa-sho, skip them.’ But, now that I’m out here, it’s like, ‘Man, I kinda like these dudes. They kinda cool. … Like, man, I coulda been over here the whole time.”
Judon has clearly had a change of heart, and Patriots fans are certainly glad that Bill Belichick was able to change his mind.
Judon has been an absolute wrecking ball on defense, and leads the Patriots with 6 1/2 sacks and 8 tackles for a loss through 5 games.
