Patriots Are Making A Deal To Bring Jamie Collins Back To New England
According to Field Yates the New England Patriots are currently working on a deal with former linebacker, and current free agent Jamie Collins.
Collins was recently released by the Detroit Lions in the second year of a three-year, $30 million contract after there were no suitors on the trade market. This will be Collins third stint with the Patriots. The exact same thing happened two years ago when Collins was cut by the Cleveland Browns, and came back to New England. He will likely serve as veteran depth when he is officially signed.
A reunion in the making: the Patriots are working towards a deal with free agent LB Jamie Collins to bring him back for his third stint with the team, per source.
Collins should be able to contribute right away given his familiarity with the system.

#Patriots OLB Jamie Collins makes a crazy play to block a field goal. Perfect example of reading the snap count. pic.twitter.com/LERLryOFMg
