Patriots Are Expected To Re-sign Kicker Nick Folk On Monday

The New England Patriots brought kicker Nick Folk back for a visit and plan to sign him Monday.

Folk was with the Patriots last season, but only played in seven games due to an appendectomy. Folk was very solid going 16 for 19 on field goal attempts, and didn’t miss one field goal inside of 40 yards or any extra points. Folk does struggle a bit on kickoffs though. Folk missed three of his eight attempts from 40 yards out or farther. He will compete with fifth-round pick Justin Rohrwasser for the starting gig.

To this point Rohrwasser has seen limited action. Rohrwasser has also been dealing with an injury, which is why he hasn’t kicked since Monday.

The Patriots had veteran kicker Nick Folk in for a visit.

Rookie kicker Justin Rohrwasser is the lone kicker on the roster, and he hasn't done much kicking in front of the assembled media at camp. Folk, of course, was with the Patriots in 2019.
