Patriots Announced Their 2020 Hall Of Fame Finalists

Fans can now vote on the next member of the New England Patriots Hall of Fame after the 2020 finalists were announced earlier today. The next inductee will be Bill Parcells, Richard Seymour or Mike Vrabel.

Bill Parcells Took over the Patriots when they were the worst team in the league back in 1993. He was originally hired by Jim Ortwein prior to Robert Kraft purchasing the team. Parcells built the team up and drafted many key pieces that would go on to become key members of the Patriots dynasty. Parcells won Coach of the Year honors in 1993 and led the team to the Super Bowl in 1996. Things did not end well for Parcells in New England after he had a falling out with Kraft and he moved on to the New York Jets. It is not likely that enough Patriots fans have forgiven him to help his chances.

Richard Seymour – Seymour is perhaps the most underated on this list. Seymour was drafted No. 6 overall by the Patriots in 2001. Seymour was a dominant run stuffing defensive lineman, and a 5 time All Pro making the 1st team three consecutive years. Seymour is also a member of the NFL 2000s All Decade Team and should get strong consideration to be inducted in Canton someday.

Mike Vrabel – Vrabel was a fan favorite, and perhaps Bill Belichick’s greatest free-agent signing. Vrabel was another no-name player that Belichick turned into a star linebacker. Vrabel also served as a extremely valuable goal line tight end, catching 10 career receptions and 10 career touchdowns, including one in Super Bowl XXXVII.
