NESN Announces Red Sox Broadcaster Jerry Remy Again Diagnosed With Cancer
Jerry Remy has been diagnosed once again with cancer. Remy has waged several high-profile battles against cancer, most recently returning from treatment this season.
“At this time, Jerry’s focus is on his medical treatment,” NESN wrote in a statement. “The thoughts and prayers of all of us at NESN and the Red Sox are with Jerry and his family during this difficult time.”
A former second baseman for the Red Sox, Remy has served as the Red Sox color analyst on NESN since 1988, announcing more than 3,900 Red Sox games during his career. Sad news reported today on the beloved Sox announcer and best of luck with your treatments and your battle ahead!
