Man Arrested For Biting Off Fans Finger In A Violent Brawl At Bruins/Coyotes Game



Things got really ugly in the stands at a recent Bruins vs Arizona Coyotes on Friday. A vicious brawl broke out in Mullett Arena at Arizona State University in Tempe. Video of the fight captured several fans going at it, with punches being thrown and people falling over seats.

One unlucky fan had the tip of his index finger bitten off. Steven Rocha was transported to a local hospital after the tip of his index finger was bitten “completely off,” according to Arizona State University police.

Police arrested and charged Nashaknik Allen Shontz on suspicion of aggravated assault for allegedly biting off the man’s fingertip. Five other fans involved in the brawl were cited for disorderly conduct and released.

Local authorities said a Phoenix police officer was also injured but they were unable to comment on the severity of the injury.
