Mac Jones Says His Gameday Ritual Is To Eat Spaghetti, Steak, And Eggs At 6 AM

Many athletes have their quirks, and rituals that they like to repeat, whether it is before their next at bat, or something they do every gameday and Patriots quarterback Mac Jones is one of them. Mac Jones talked about his pregame ritual on WEEI’s Merloni and Fauria Show: Steak, eggs, and spaghetti. This is clearly on the opposite spectrum from Tom Brady’s avocado ice cream, and TB12 method.

“It’s always the same thing regardless of the kickoff,” Jones said. “Same thing in college. Just getting into a routine. I’ve eaten that at six in the morning before 11 o’clock games in college. It’s just part of the routine that I’ve gotten into. It just kinda gets your mind ready. It’s nothing crazy. I think it’s a pretty simple meal.”

Bill Belichick and Matt Patricia had a few drinks on the field after yesterdays game. Jones was asked how he celebrates a big win.

“I usually just honestly go home and hang out with my family. Eat some dessert. I definitely get a little dessert after the game,” Jones said. “But yeah, everybody has their own way of celebrating. I don’t think it’s right or wrong to do one thing or the other. But for me, I just try to get home to be with my family, be with my girlfriend and my puppy.”

“It had been chocolate chips for a long time,” Jones said, “but my new thing is the Mochi balls. It’s like the rice balls with ice cream in them. They’re so good.”
