New England Patriots fans wasted no time after the early morning news that rookie quarterback Mac Jones becoming the official starting quarterback with the release of Cam Newton. Mac Jones jerseys were flying off the shelves, and were completely sold out at the Patriots Pro Shop within an hour of the news. The future of the franchise has arrived earlier than expected, and there is once again excitement in the air again in New England.
Jones will make his NFL debut as the Week 1 starter against the Miami Dolphins. Jones finished the preseason 36-of-52 for 389 yards, with one touchdown and no interceptions.
