Kyrie Irving Traded To Dallas In A Blockbuster Deal
Has there ever been an NBA player more toxic than Kyrie Irving? This is getting ridiculous. The Brooklyn Nets shipped off the often-disgruntled Kyrie Irving to the Dallas Mavericks after he requested a trade earlier in the week. The Mavericks struck a deal with the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday to land Irving, for Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, a first-round pick and multiple second-round picks, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Initially Kyrie was complaining about not getting the contract he wanted, but forced the Nets hand after saying he wouldn’t stay in Brooklyn even if they offered him a full max contract. Let’s see how long he lasts in Dallas before requesting to be moved again.
The often-controversial point guard has previously requested trades away from Boston, and Cleveland.
