KC Chiefs Safety Tyrann Mathieu Says Anyone That Doubted Mac Jones Should Be on Comedy Central
It isn’t often that a player from another team will passionately defend the honor of another player, but something obviously struck a chord with Kansas City Chiefs star safety Tyrann Mathieu this morning when he woke up early to fire a shot at everyone that doubted the ability of Mac Jones. Jones is clearly turning heads around the league after an amazing start to his career. He is clearly commanding respect from players and coaches around the league.
“Mac Jones wasn’t trendy enough for y’all at first huh now y’all love him…. Man, y’all funny!!! Day in and day out!!! Y’all should be on Comedy Central,” Mathieu tweeted on Tuesday morning.
The Honey Badger later continued his defense of Mac, It almost felt like Mathieu was upset that Mac is not getting the same respect as Patrick Mahomes who is his own teammate.
“He don’t throw side arm or run fast so people knocked him….. dude can play QB! Period,” Mathieu tweeted.
There is no telling what prompted the early morning tweet, but perhaps the impending free agent is sending a cryptic message that he would like to take his talents to Foxborough next season.
