Josh McDaniels Decision To Reject The Colts Head Coaching Job Was The Best Move Of His Career
Josh McDaniels was as good as gone 18 months ago when the Indianapolis Colts hired him to be their head coach. It wasn’t until the 25th hour after McDaniels had already agreed to a deal that the Patriots stepped in to make sure he stayed in New England. Then the unthinkable happened as another hot dose of karma slapped the Colts organization back in the face. McDaniels resigned only hours after his agreement in a style similar to when Bill Belichick left the NY Jets.
As far as career moves go this will turn out to be his greatest move. Now that Andrew Luck has retired the Colts organization is in shambles. McDaniels would have likely ended up being the fall guy if things do not work out in the immediate future. I wish Jacoby Brissett luck and all, he may be serviceable, but Andrew Luck was a star and quarterbacks with that kind of talent don’t grow on trees. Instead of having his career hanging in the balance McDaniels gets to work as Belichick’s understudy since part of the deal with his return including the hoodie sharing more of his secrets with McDaniels. Perhaps he will eventually take over when Belichick retires giving the Patriots dynasty extra longevity.
Text from one league source: “That’s Kraft putting it to the Colts again. He will forever try and (expletive) that place ever since deflate gate.”

This was the greatest troll job since Bill Belichick resigned on a napkin as head coach of the New York Jets. Patriots haters everywhere must have been fuming.
