Josh Gordon’s Super Bowl Ring Is Up For Auction
Former Patriots wide receiver is putting his Super Bowl LIII ring up for auction.
Gordon, who was suspended during the 2018 season, still received a ring for his contributions during the regular season after the Patriots defeated the Rams in the Super Bowl. Perhaps they should have kept it but tried to show Gordon good faith, but he screwed that up again in the 2019 season and his lack of effort led to Bill Belichick cutting him from the team. The ring will be available at Heritage Auctions for its memorabilia auction in August.
Gordon is currently applying for reinstatement after getting suspended once again last season in Seattle a few weeks after he was released by the Patriots.
The auction house says the ring has an estimated value of $100,000.
We thought the #Patriots ring we sold from their 5th title was the largest we'd see, but we were wrong. This NE ring from their #SuperBowl LIII title, the last of the Brady era, is massive! It was issued to WR Josh Gordon, who caught Brady's 500th TD passhttps://t.co/JLehD0XuRv pic.twitter.com/585XxqEsxL
