Josh Gordon Has Likely Played His Final Game With The Patriots After Being Placed On Injured Reserve
Josh Gordon was placed on injured reserve this afternoon. The Patriots are placing the wide receiver on injured reserve after he suffered a knee injury a couple of weeks ago against the Giants.
Gordon suffered the injury making a tackle after a turnover.
Gordon, 28, caught 20 passes for 287 yards and a touchdown this season.
Patriots rookie receiver N’Keal Harry recently returned to practice and newly acquired Mohamed Sanu will have to step in to fill the loss of Gordon. According to Ian Rapaport, Gordon will likely be waived when he is healthy and his time with the Patriots is likely over.
#Patriots WR Josh Gordon was placed on Injured Reserve today because of two bone bruises in his knee that he dealt with before the injury against the #Giants, sources say. His time in NE is likely over as they are moving on. He’ll be waived off IR when fully healthy.

The #Patriots spent a 5th round pick and a little over $2.5M on WR Josh Gordon. For that, they received 17 starts, 60 catches for 1,007 yards and 4 TDs over two seasons. A solid investment, one they are now moving on from.
