Jarrett Stidham Is Expected To Get The Start On Monday Night If Cam Newton Is Unavailable
There is still a chance Cam Newton will be back for Monday nights game when the New England Patriots host the Denver Broncos at Gillette Stadium.
If Newton is unable to play the Patriots are expected to give second year quarterback , Jarrett Stidham his first career start after Brian Hoyer made multiple errors last week against Kansas City.
Stidham, was a fourth-round pick out of Auburn in 2019. Stidham had a tough time getting thrown into the mix against the Chiefs, only completing 5 of 13 passes for 60 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions after replacing Hoyer. Hopefully he will be more effective with a fresh start against the Broncos.
If Cam Newton is unable to play this week, whenever the Patriots end up playing, Jarrett Stidham would be in line to start I'm hearing. Newton has been taking part in team zoom meetings.
