Jamie Collins Signs A 3 Year Contract With The Detroit Lions
The bleeding continues in Foxborough. Linebacker Jamie Collins has signed a 3-year deal worth $31 million with the Detroit Lions. Collins revived his career with the Patriots last year after he was shipped off to Cleveland for being a locker room problem earlier in his career. Collins started off on fire last year but fizzled off down the stretch. That is a big commitment by the Lions for a player his age. The Patriots had no chance or any intention of matching that salary. Free agency has just begun, and Collins is the 2nd free agent swept up by a former Patriots coach, after Kyle Van Noy signed with the Dolphins hours earlier.
Former Patriots LB Jamie Collins has agreed to a deal with the Lions, per source. Reunites with Matt Patricia.
