James White Is Inactive Tonight After His Father Died In A Car Crash While His Mother Is In Critical Condition.
Some awful news just broke for Patriots nation. What has already been an awful week for Bill Belichick, who lost his mother and father in law a few days apart, comes the tragic news of RB James White’s parents. White will miss tonight’s game after his parents were in a car crash earlier in the day that killed his father, and left his mother in critical condition.
White’s father Tyrone was a captain in the Miami police department.
According to ESPN’s Ian O’Connor, Tyrone was well respected in the community.
“Tyrone Sr. coached James’ youth teams in football and baseball. He wanted to make a difference with kids because he recalled a neighborhood man who made a difference with him, a coach who regularly loaded up local athletes in his truck, drove them to the fields and back, and never asked for anything in return but a pledge from these boys that they would do the same for others when they grew up.”
Our deepest condolences go out to James White in his family for such a tragic day.
White will likely spend a few days away from the team. J.J. Taylor and Rex Burkhead will pick up White’s snaps in his absence.
