James Develin Has Been Placed On Injured Reserve With A Neck Injury
Patriots placed FB James Develin on the injured reserve list with a neck injury.
This is a tough blow for the offense. Develin has been an unsung hero and major part of the Patriots running game since 2013. The Patriots are one of the few teams in the NFL that still utilizes the Fullback position. Develin scored four touchdowns on six carries in 2018. With Isaiah Wynn and N’Keal Harry also on the IR that means only two of the three players will be eligible to return later this season.
The Patriots appear to have avoided other potentially damaging injuries this weekend. It sounds like Julian Edelman will be good to go on Sunday.
The Patriots have placed Pro Bowl FB James Develin on injured reserve, per source. He’s a key part of their running game.

"Never had a better teammate in 12 years of football. He's the best teammates I've ever been around bar none. He's a tremendous human being but he's always been about this team first." #Patriots pic.twitter.com/phzeHmZF91
