Giancarlo Stanton Booed in Home Debut was Quite Enjoyable!
Welcome to New York Giancarlo Stanton!! Just a couple of days removed from his debut as a New York Yankee and smashing 2 home runs sending fans into a frenzy about how unstoppable their team now is, things changed rather quickly.
Stanton made his home debut on Tuesday evening and had the most unforgettable of nights as he went 0-5 with 5 STRIKEOUTS!! Even with the Yankees having the game well in hand, the hometown fans decided to voice their displeasure of Stanton and his performance as boo’s reigned down.

There was some faint boo’s after his 4th K, but the fans really ramped it up following his 5th. The five K’s was the most ever in his career for the reigning NL MVP and it tied the franchise record for the Yankees. To his credit Stanton owned up to the miserable night. “I was awful today.” Stanton admitted. “You put up a performance like that you should get some boos.”
I’m sure when Stanton mashes a homer in the next game all will be forgotten, but that was quite entertaining.
