Does ESPN Want To Get Rid Of Tom Brady So Badly That They Announced His Retirement Prematurely?
Everyone might want to pump the brakes a little bit on the Tom Brady retirement celebration. The ESPN announcement that Tom Brady is actually going to retire is being disputed, as neither his agent Don Yee or Tampa Bay head coach Bruce Arians aware of any retirement plans. It looks like ESPN who originally broke the news about an hour ago may have really screwed up here. It is not like ESPN hasn’t been trying to get rid of Brady since 2014.
According to Brady’s agent Don Yee a decision has not been made.
” I understand the speculation about Tom’s future. Without getting into the accuracy or inaccuracy of what is being reported, Tom will be the only person to express his plans with complete accuracy. He knows the realities of the football business and planning calendar as well as anybody, so that should be soon.
It looks like it is very much still up in the air until we hear clarity from the GOAT himself. It is really bullshit for ESPN to break a story of this magnitude without 100% proof!
Report for @BallySports: Tom Brady contacted @Buccaneers GM Jason Licht and told him he has not yet made a final decision on retirement, disputing the ESPN report. Licht is respecting Brady's process and waiting for a definitive answer, whenever it comes, from the QB.

Same text from Tom Brady’s agent, Don Yee, about reports of his retirement. Not a denial at all, not real clarity, but that should come soon: pic.twitter.com/E53BBi5Cxv
