Deion Branch Was Unhappy About Being Left Off The Patriots All Dynasty Team
The New England Patriots released their All Dynasty team list yesterday, and one notable omission was wide receiver Deion Branch. With all the great players that have come around over the past 20 years, someone was going to be slighted, but Deion Branch has a legitimate gripe. Branch was the Super Bowl XXIX MVP and many thought he should have been named co-MVP in Super Bowl XXXVIII after he had 10 receptions for 143 yards and a touchdown.
Wes Welker, Randy Moss, Julian Edelman and Troy Brown were the four receivers picked for the All-Dynasty team instead. I don’t think you could take anyone off that list but it is hard to argue Branch doesn’t belong on the list. Without Branch there is a chance the Patriots would not have won those Super Bowls.
Branch wasn’t to happy with the snub, and shared his thoughts to social media.
According to Bryan Morry, the Executive Director of the Patriots Hall of Fame, it was simply an “unfortunate mistake” that Branch’s name was omitted.
Branch caught 328 passes for 4,297 yards with 24 touchdowns in 89 games

Remember when the Patriots won their 2nd super bowl in 3 years, beating the Panthers 32-29 in what was the most watched Super Bowl ever at the time. That was really cool.
