David Ortiz Is One Of 9 Former Boston Red Sox Players On The 2022 Baseball Hall of Fame ballot
The last time a Red Sox player was inducted into the Hall of Fame was Pedro Martinez in 2015. That could all change this year with Big Papi becoming eligible for the first time this year.
David Ortiz, the legendary Red Sox designated hitter who was a major part of 3 World Series Championship teams highlights the list of nine former Red Sox players who are eligible for induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Ortiz, Roger Clemens, Curt Schilling, Manny Ramirez, Jonathan Papelbon, Carl Crawford, Jake Peavy, AJ Pierzynski and Billy Wagner are some of the 30 former players up for induction. The Baseball Writers Association of America will announce the results on January 25th.
