David Andrews Decided He Is Staying In New England With A New 4-Year Deal
It looked like David Andrews was going to be leaving town, but the fan favorite offensive lineman isn’t going anywhere. The Patriots re-signed C David Andrews to a four-year contract late Thursday night.
After working hard to re-sign Andrews before the official start of free agency on Wednesday, the Pats opted to let Andrews test the market after the sides could not reach an agreement. There was speculation that he would be leaving town after the Patriots brought back Ted Karras, but Andrews must not have liked what he saw, and wants to be part of what the Patriots are building. It’s huge news for this run-oriented offense
The Patriots and C David Andrews are finalizing a deal for him to return to New England, per sources.
Andrews is a longtime team captain and is one of the most respected players on the entire roster.
