Boston Celtics Are Hiring Brooklyn Nets Assistant Ime Udoka As Their New Head Coach
The Boston Celtics have found a new head coach. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Celtics will be naming Brooklyn Nets assistant Ime Udoka as the next head coach of the storied franchise. Udoka has 9 years of coaching experience as an assistant with Spurs, Sixers and Nets. Ime was with the San Antonio Spurs for 7 seasons under legendary head coach Gregg Popovich.
The 43 year old Udoka reportedly already has a strong relationship with Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Marcus Smart from his time coaching them with Team USA, and it seems like Brad Stevens took the players input into the decision.
