Bill Belichick Says The Patriots Are Prepared To Avoid Situations Like Last Night’s Brawl

After being told that the Myles Garrett situation was trending this morning Bill Belichick joked about looking at his fake “Snapface” account as soon as he woke up.

“See what happened, check it out, absolutely,” Belichick said. “Interact with everybody, see what they think, get my opinions out there. I don’t want to get left behind on that. Then brush my teeth.”

Belichick absolutely loves to mock the media, because there is no way in hell Belichick would go near social media outside of maybe looking at a few photos his girlfriend Linda Holliday may show him.

Belichick also pointed out why they don’t get into these kind of incidents.

“We have a lot of good players, a lot of unselfish players,” head coach Bill Belichick said Friday morning. “I think that’s really the key to it.”

“We’ve addressed that, and we’ve addressed that multiple times,” Belichick said about potential fights.
“Every situation is different. There’s no two that are the same. We can go back and look at 50 of these through the years, some type of fighting or ejections. They’re all different. I wouldn’t say it’s like offsides penalties. There’s a lot of different things happening, different situations and so forth and so on. Yeah, fundamentally, I told players what we should do in those situations, how we should handle them. I think they’ve done a good job with it.”

The reality is there is no possible good outcome from fighting or getting unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. All they do is hurt the team. If a player was to do it routinely they would certainly end up in Belichick’s doghouse and likely shipped off to another team.
